oscilloscope

This is a picture of an oscilloscope display. You see it at zero on the x axis to the left. The line goes up and down on the y axis, and back at zero to the right hand side. Between these two points a continuous line goes up and down.

This is your life, with its ups and downs, hopefully more above theĀ  x axis than below. It starts at zero, and ends the same way on a high note or the opposite. The diagram isn’t quite accurate. It takes a few years for the ups and downs to get going.

It’s the same at the other end, before you go to zero again. The wave action slows as you become more conservative with age.

Nobody’s life is any different. The waveform does tend to flatten out on the right hand side though. When you’re young, you think you’ll never get to the right side zero x axis end point.

You will. Make the most of it.

You don’t get a rerun.
