Why we use cruise missiles in Iraq and Syria rather than bombs
Nobody has mentioned it but I think that the federal government’s budget runs from October 1st to September 30th. At the end of the fiscal year, last month, government agencies scrambled to spend money as fast as they could. Why? Because if they don’t, their budgets are cut.
So why use $1 million + dollar cruise missiles instead of much cheaper bombs when ISIS doesn’t apparently have any way to shoot our planes down? It appears that by using up these missiles before the end of last month, the procurement department of the Pentagon could order shiny new replacements from Raytheon.
Keep an eye of Raytheon stock price. If it goes up, you’ll have an idea why.
