Obama’s foibles
Once again, President Obama makes the empty statement of being accountable, this time for the Obamacare fiasco. What does being accountable, as president, mean? Nothing. He isn’t going to resign, just laugh all the way to the bank and a very comfortable, pampered retirement.
What does it mean to the insurance companies that he’s trying to persuade to reinstate policies? A disaster. They calculated premiums under Obamacare to have many young people enroll to offset the cost of providing benefits to the older ones. That won’t happen, as too much information has been disclosed so younger Americans understand how the system will really work. They don’t want to be used, so the insurance companies financial modeling has been fouled up.
Although President Obama periodically says that we are a nation of laws, it doesn’t appear that way. The Obamacare law was clear, but waivers are being granted left, right and center. That means we are a nation of laws, selectively applied. For some reason he forgets to use the last two words, over and over again. Maybe his ubiquitous teleprompters need mending?
Even worse, the insurance companies secret plan to jack the rates way up starting in 2015 after everyone has been forced (not true, but the government pretends it is) to buy Obamacare policies has been damaged. The theory is that once they get the captive audience, they can raise premiums from year two and beyond. Our government will express faux surprise.
It’s marketing 101.
As I wrote before, the president may not let this crisis go to waste, by proposing a single payer system as “fairer.” That’s National Health Care, another disaster in the making. I was brought up under Great Britain’s National Health Care system so I know first hand what a mess that was and is.
Support my campaign. I’ll work to stop the Democrats from implementing this medical travesty designed to provide free care for the masses, with the financial burden on the middle class.
