David Cameron wants to become king

As you may know, David Cameron is Great Britain’s prime minister. He has just announced that he wants to be king.

The new King Cameron

Well not in the sense that he wants to live in Buckingham Palace, but his recent announcement made me immediately think of an earlier king, King Cnut.

King Cnut was a king in the 10th century. He was king of England, Denmark, Norway and parts of Sweden. He is remembered for trying to turn back the waves to impress his soldiers. He didn’t do either.

King Cnut placed his throne next to the sea shore and commanded the incoming tide not to wet his feet and robes. Guess what happened?

Yes, he got soaked and quickly realized that he wasn’t as all powerful as he thought he was. So what’s this got to do with David Cameron, and President Obama if he follows Mr. Cameron’s foolish and naive example?

After the terrorist attack in Paris he said –

“If I am prime minister I will make sure that it is a comprehensive piece of legislation that does not allow terrorists safe space to communicate with each other. That is the key principle: Do we allow terrorists safer spaces for them to talk to each other. … Are we going to allow a means of communications which it simply isn’t possible to read? My answer to that question is: ‘No we must not.”

He laid out a plan to force software developers to insert “back-doors” into their software so that the British government could spy on the public’s communications!

The implication is that the “bad guys” knowing that if they use communications software developed by major players, Microsoft, Apple, Facebook and so on, they would continue to use it so their plans and conservations could be monitored. In fact, they’ll just use “open source” software that isn’t bound by British laws to accomplish the same goal.

The other benefit will be for the hackers. They’ll discover the back-door by reverse engineering the revised software and be able to spy on the general public as well.

So who would the British government actually be listening to? The general public who will become more and more controlled as “Big Brother” will know everything about them and what they do. It’s all a part of the ring fencing of the British public. A ring fence is where farmers keep cattle and sheep.

They are not content with thousands of cameras monitoring the public’s’ every movement, along with increasingly accurate facial recognition software and cell phone location signaling. They now want to electronically read everything that a British citizen does.

That goes for secure web communications as well where you would connect to a web site to buy something. They’ll be monitored. As secure connections (https://) are used to access sites where you will keep your passwords, the government will get them all. They’ll be able to log in to every site that the public has an account with. They’ll never know it.

Perhaps he should pass a law so that every envelope is opened and its contents read? All to keep the British public safe. The terrorists will laugh and not be monitored. The ordinary citizen will.

Don’t think that the British government doesn’t know this. The Paris attack was a trigger (excuse) for legislating ever more stringent laws to capture the British public and control them.

The typical response is that if you haven’t done anything wrong, you have nothing to hide. Perhaps so, but the British government just has to think so for that person to be destroyed by their legal system.

It’s coming to America. King Cameron wants to persuade President Obama to ask for similar legislation here.

Soon to be King Cameron is going to learn a lesson from King Cnut. In spite of the hot air coming out of his mouth, he won’t hold back the tide either, but as their elections are in a few months, he just needs to get back in so “protecting the public” is a good pitch.

We are all heading for the Abattoir, and with our current crop of imperial politicians, there is nothing we can do.
