Brian Williams is probably the best known news anchor in this country. Why? Longevity and habit. I watch him most nights from habit, not that he is particularly good but he’s always there. That’s a habit.

He recently made an onscreen apology for making fanciful claims about a helicopter incident in Iraq. In other words, he was caught so he is apologizing.

If he hadn’t been caught, do you think he would have corrected himself on TV? You can watch the apology below.

NBC NewsThe embedded video link that NBC provides of this clip doesn’t appear to easily work, for some reason, so watch it here.

This morning, I listened to a call-in show on C-SPAN, the Washington political show with people complaining that he lied and should quit, or he embellished the truth, or his memories became fuzzy  or… and he told the best, dramatic story he could and, perhaps, eventually believed it.

What wasn’t discussed is the ongoing Nightly News series of the “take your meds.” section that always promotes drugging the American public. Why?

Just watch the show and look at the commercials. They are mostly drug related, prescription or otherwise. Guess who pays the bills and the huge salaries that any “news” that promotes taking drugs is highlighted.

If the opposite, I doubt that it will be mentioned. That’s called gate-keeping, to not upset the pharmaceutical companies.

Big pharma wants everyone on meds., I think from birth to death. It’s the drugging of America. Who needs Soma?

It’s something similar to banks extending zero interest loans to snag people who cannot pay them off. They spend the rest of their lives paying high interest rates to the banks. It’s known as modern day slavery, or live now, pay later.

Specifically, the Nightly News has been wailing about the Measles outbreak after eradication, but has reappeared and is the crisis of the week.

That is until replaced with a fresh crisis next week, taking their way of doing business from our government’s frequent crisis policy.

They strongly suggest that parents who have been neglecting to immunize their kids are bad. The message is that you “must take your meds.,” in other words get your kids injected or else.

They fail to mention the truth that Measles has never been eradicated, as you can see from the CDC graph below. It’s just business, and you are the target. Buyer beware. Measles

Editor’s note, February 8, 2015. It was reported that Mr. Williams has stepped down from being the news anchor for a few days. Why? He appears to be using the same technique as Dr. Nancy Snyderman, his show’s MD that is always pitching “take your meds.” Dr. Snyderman was caught shopping during the Ebola (remember that) scare when she was supposed to be in self-quarantine. She vanished for a few weeks and then reappeared. Mr. Williams, who reportedly has signed a $50 million five-year contract with NBC (about $40,000 per work day) may be using the same technique. If you’re wondering why he makes that much money, take a look at who pays for the commercials in the thirty minute “news/entertainment” shows.

We are a crisis driven society so I think that within a few weeks, no one will care as we’ll have a few fresh crises to deal with. Business as usual.

Editor’s note. February 15, 2015. Brian Williams was suspended, without pay, for six months by his management. I do not know if another network will offer his a job and he’ll sue NBC for breach of his reported $50 million contract, or he’ll be back at NBC. Six months in the news business is a long, long time.
