Our own government does not like that we want privacy, including our financial transactions, as allowed under the Fourth Amendment. So they are spending untold billions of tax dollars to thwart Internet security measures, scooping up vast amounts of personal data, all in the name of counter-terrorism. Will the “… for your own protection and to keep us all safe” ploys never cease?

As Syria has captured the world’s attention, very little press was written about the most recent revelations. This should have been the domestic reporters’ first story as it’s, by far and away, the biggest. As your congressman, I’ll work to defund the NSA, and any government agency that tries to subvert the Fourth Amendment rights of U.S. citizens, and our right to privacy.

Sad to say, we are now the enemy.
