Spend, spend, spend
If you look at these two images, you’ll see that in the year 2000 our government (federal, state and local) spent 36 cents of every GDP dollar as a part of the total output of the United States!
What is worse is that this year our government is spending 41% of our total GDP! And for every dollar our government spends, over 40 cents is borrowed! You’ll also see that our national debt is nearly twice the year 2000 level, and although our GDP has only increased by about 60%, government spending has increased by 80%, although revenue compared to GDP is dropping.
It’s called living on your credit cards. Eventually, your credit lines are cut off. That’s when we’ll have some big problems, far bigger than what we’ve see over the past four years.
It’s the road to ruin. It’s going to be a dark future for our children unless you elect representatives who put country first. Few do.
