When I failed in my congressional campaigns running in both Hawaii and Georgia (something that has never been done before), my wife said that I shouldn’t run again… and I quietly and sadly agreed. The problem I have all the time is that I see such stupidity in Washington.

Our politicians shadow box at solutions, while they become rich and continually lie to the public. It’s very sad. The public knows that they are lied to but don’t know of any alternative. So they get used to the lies and expect them, resigned that that’s Washington. It doesn’t have to be.

The politicians wouldn’t know a real solution from a hole in the ground, but play at being “leaders.” So while this charade is going on, the public suffers. That said, I am tempted to try again. Washington needs adults, not squabbling children.

Last Friday night, my wife and I attended a political soiree in metro Atlanta. I saw and walked up to some people that I recognized from a speech I gave last year.

One of the women gave me a big hug and said that I was her favorite politician. While flattered, as there were six of us in the Georgia race, I thought that as I lost I was a former politician. Without a vote in Washington, I and the American public cannot do anything other than moan and moan and moan for what good that does.

So I am in the process of forming an exploratory committee to run again next year (I’m a sucker for punishment), but this time I must raise sufficient funds ahead of time to have a good shot at winning and saving our nation from Washington’s path of self destruction.

I do not know where I will be running or in how many states. It depends on what support is offered (by you) before it becomes official.

Congressional districts have about 400,000 voters in each, so reaching them is very expensive. I don’t want help from special interests that routinely control election outcomes and the winners; I want support from the American public no matter where they live. That means you.

So if you are interested in offering financial support (a maximum of $5,600 per race) then I want to hear from you. If enough patriotic Americans reach out, it will become official and I’ll set up separate campaign bank accounts and the races will be on.

If I don’t run, I’ll refund every penny.

Help me save America. We’re in decline, and that decline must be reversed before our financial collapse in 2018-19.
