Republicans caved again!

It goes without saying that the Republicans, my party, lacks any leadership whatsoever and is like a becalmed boat waiting for some wind and direction. But the “budget agreement” is a travesty. I will not rewrite how this Forbes article eloquently describes this agreement, but I will write as to why Paul Ryan and the alleged Republican leadership in the House approved the budget deal.

Simply put, it’s about the 2014 election cycle. The Republican party was so badly mauled by the foolish government shutdown fiasco that they are running scared. The are scared that some of the Republicans may actually be voted out of office! Love of country, speaking the truth and doing the right thing takes a very, very distant second, third and fourth place to being reelected.

I’m disgusted. What happened to speaking the truth to the American public? Do you think that they don’t know what’s going on?
