The Sequester: Round Two

As you know the Democrats, under the leadership of President Obama and the Republicans, under John Boehner are both fighting for the high ground.

At this time, the president is talking compromise, compromise, compromise (in public) and John Boehner is saying “my way or the highway.”

Unfortunately, President Obama’s public relations consultants are more effective than the people working for Speaker Boehner, as the president is projecting a “let’s be reasonable” (in public) posture and John Boehner is being portrayed as intransigent.

In private, I think the opposite is true. If you watch this PBS Frontline show, you’ll understand my point of view. Fortunately for the president, the public doesn’t watch these shows so he has the advantage.

So as I wrote before, the Republicans will be under increasing pressure to cave. Unfortunately they will, and our country will suffer another body blow, inflicted by the president.
