Is Iran next?

Soon after the Hamas attacks across the southern Israeli border, the politicians are talking about Iran helping plan and approving of the attacks. Why?

Iran has been a major problem for Israel, and for the United States. So this may be the opportunity to attack and defeat Iran neutralizing this long term threat.

It seems strange that, in spite of layers and layers of technologies, spies, agents and other methods to keep track of Hamas that these border crossings, the mass civilian Israeli casualties were a complete surprise! Really? Perhaps Netenyahu was using the Horatio Nelson technique?

According to ABC news, they have confirmed SIX entry points, and in spite of the security cameras and other defensenses, apparently the Israel army did next to nothing! Israel claims TWENTY to THIRTY crossing areas!

And that was even after Egypt warned Israel of the pending attacks, confirmed by the U.S. State Department but obviously denied by the Israeli government.

The propaganda machines are working at full speed so I’m sure that much of what is claimed as fact is in fact, fiction.

But useful fiction. The truth will emerge sometime in the future, but few will care… except for the relatives of the dead on both sides. Very sad.

It’s not a surprise, that the Israeli government under its extreme right wing, scandal riddled prime minister, Benjamin Netenyahu, needed to polarize the Israeli (and U.S.) populations to allow an attack on Iran. After all, there were mass protests in Israel about him trying to increase his unilateral power. Many military reservists had even threatened to not go on active duty due to the absolute power grab!

Now they are going to war by bombing Gaza where the millions of its civilian population are trapped. Fish in a barrel?

So the Israeli airforce is destroying entire apartment blocks, claiming that they were full of militants so reasonable targets, ignoring the civilians living there. Israel can do no wrong, and the opposite.

Nothing like a good crisis to solve your immediate problems.

And with U.S. help, of course.

The USS Gerald R. Ford aircraft carrier was hanging around Italy, “by chance” and is now headed to Israel along with support warships.

But the problem, with this possible plan may be Russia.

Iran has been supplying Russia with specialized weapons including drones used to kill Ukrainians.

And as you know, the United States is in a proxy war with Russia, letting the Ukrainians doing the trigger pulling (ignoring remote targeting assistance) using U.S. weapons.

So I suspect that a similar reciprocal deal was made with Iran and Russia since both parties wanted to get something from the deal.

I think that Iran wanted specialized Russian weapons that they don’t have, and methodologies, so if there is a war between Iran and Israel, it will become a proxy war with lots of  Russian weapons used by the Iranians to kill Israelis, and the U.S. weapons used by the Israelis to kill Iranians.

And as Ukraine is now almost forgotten about, we have a fresh war and have (what passes for) news correspondents rushing around Israel with air raid sirens going off, so they can add war correspondent to their resumes, plus add frequent flier miles to their accounts..

These proxy wars are like having two cartels fighting each other, with the low level  Ukraine/Israeli/Iranian/Hamas/Hezbollah soldiers/militias doing the killing.

All in the name of peace and tranquility, of course.
