Why is the public being worked into a frenzy about the “end of the world” that will occur on January 1st?

Why is Treasury Secretary, Timothy Geithner saying that we’ll hit our credit limit on January 1st but can extend the default for a few months by juggling the numbers? Clue… he’s resigning in a few weeks, taking his huge pension and running for it.

Why are the Democrats slamming the Republicans; the Republicans, the Democrats and the Independents, both parties?

Why is the Senate majority leader, Harry Reid slamming the House majority leader, John Boehner?
